Studio

Natalie is a Dundee based Author and Illustrator. When she is not teaching at DJCAD or driving her son to his many activities, she enjoys spending time in her studio where she can play with words and pictures and get to know new characters.

Whilst developing ideas for stories, Natalie often takes a walk along the beach to blow away creative cobwebs or drifts around charity or antique shops on the lookout for interesting books, materials or animal figurines to inspire her next character.

Natalie has screen printed the artwork for many of her books using the press in her studio or the facilities at Scottish Print Workshops. The Moon Rabbit series was printed between DJCAD and her studio in 2009 and in 2010, she screen printed Rabbits in the Snow & Park with her friend, Ailsa McWilliam, at Peacock Visual Arts in Aberdeen. In 2011, Natalie worked with Ailsa again at DCA Print Studio to print Lost for Words.
