Lost for Words became runner up in the Scottish Children’s Book Awards 2015 (SCBA Bookbug readers 3-7 category) and was included in the Bookbug Family pack. The packs were given to Primary 1 children across Scotland – 1,000 books were translated into Gaelic.
On Boxing Day 2017, Lost for Words was featured on CBeebies Bedtime Stories and was read by well-known actor Emily Watson. The reading can be viewed on the CBeebies website.
